Welcome to Saint Matthew United Methodist Church.It is a great joy to welcome you to St. Matthew United Methodist Church’s website.  I hope your visit to our website will prove to be informative and even inspiring.  Saint Matthew is a church comprised of all ages and walks of life.  Our goal is to share and celebrate the love of God in Jesus in relevant, meaningful, and life-transforming ways.  We do this primarily through stimulating and engaging worship, study, nurture, celebration, and outreach to our local and global community.  As you search through the pages of this website, you will discover that St. Matthew offers a wide variety of ministries and spiritual growth opportunities for all ages and stages of faith and life.  If you have any questions about any of these opportunities, I would be more than happy to discuss them with you.  We are a growing congregation and we invite you to grow with us.

Staff Appreciation Sunday, June 28th  Please mark your calendars to join together for lunch after the 11 am service in the Family Life Center to celebrate our appreciation of all St Matthew's dedicated staff, Sam, Ruthie, Pam, Kelly, Cam, Stan, Rebeca, and Christina and their families. Come and enjoy food and fellowship as we express our thanks for all their hard work.

 

 

Vacation Bible School:  Save the date for this year’s VBS to be held July 20 – 23!  Kids this year will go to an "adventure camp" called Camp E.D.G.E, where they Experience and Discover God Everywhere.  Decorating day will be Sunday, July 19th.  We do need many people to help run VBS-- please contact Mary Meredith to volunteer.To register for VBS please go to this website:  www.cokesburyvbs.com/stmatthewvbs/ce/

            

Women's Bible Study   A new seven week Women's Bible study will begin on Wednesday, June 24th from 6:30  - 8:00pm in the Parlor.  Our new study is The Virtuous Woman:  Shattering the Superwoman Myth by Vicki Courtney.  You can pick up your book at the Introductory Session on June 24th. Cost is $9.95.  For more information, contact Kary Mitchell or Cari Treece.
