How to Join The congregation of St. Matthew invites you to become a member of our church. Are you currently a member of another United Methodist church? You will be transferring your membership to St. Matthew. You will be asked to make a vow of membership during one of the worship services. Are you currently a member of another denomination? You will be transferring your membership to St. Matthew. You will be asked to make a vow of membership into the United Methodist Church and a vow of membership into St. Matthew during one of the worship services. Are you joining a church for the first time and have been baptized? You will join on confession of faith, by responding affirmatively to a series of questions regarding commitment to following Jesus Christ. Are you joining a church for the first time and have never been baptized? You will be baptized and join on confession of faith during one of the Sunday morning worship services. Inquirers Class gives new members and visitors an overview of St. Matthew and the United Methodist Church.
