The goal of the mission committee is to continue Christ's work in the world by connecting members of St. Matthew with ministry opportunities that "help the least of these." Please read about our mission and outreach opportunities below, follow links to the organizations, and email if you would like to get involved or if you would like more information.
There are many ministry opportunities within St. Matthew. Please download, print and return the Time and Talent survey to the church office so that we can match your gifts with our many needs.

Mission Emphasis for May: Epworth Children's Home
Did you know the UMC in SC is currently providing a home for more than 75 children who have in some way lost their families? We are! And we have for 115 years!
Epworth Children's Home provides group residential care for children and youth from all of South Carolina. We provide child care, counseling and related services to families and children without regard to race, religion, national origin or ability to pay.
Since 1896, Epworth Children's Home has been a place for children to grow, learn and be loved. Children ages four- 18 come to us from broken family systems and our goal is to nurthure and love them by providing education, counseling, medical care and spiritual enrichment.
We will receive the annual Mother's Day offering to benefit the children who call Epworth home on Sunday, May 8th, 2011. Please be in prayerful consideration about what God is calling you to give to this valuable and life changing ministry.
For more information about Epworth Children's Home you can visit them on the web atwww.epworthchildrenshome.org.
